The 2008 Season is over. Wow, was it a lot of work. I may be soliciting helpers for the 09' season....

The 2008 display had the most lights ever.

A bazillion!!

Actually we had over 40,500. I fell short of my goal of 50,000, but it seemed like several things were against me this year for setup. The weather / snow set me behind on the roof. Then I got the flu which took me out of action for a couple of days. I got most of the display up by the first of December and started my shows that night. There were a couple of things missing. I noticed, but most people didn't. About a week later everything was as finished as it was going to be.

White HouseThis picture was taken at dusk. The lights still reflect off the ground. The display was really bright this year. We added strobelights under the eaves which reflected off the white trim. This is a great place for them and they will be back next year!

White House Here's more of a closeup. You can see the strobes going off here. They have independedt timing circuits so you'll never see very many on in photos. To really see what they do check out the videos below.

White House This is another angle.

White House 2008 Cubical decorating contest. You'll never guess who won :)

White House This took 3 hours to complete. It took 4260 lights. Which were left over from the house.

White House I ended up using 131 binder clips, some scotch tape and a little magic to hang everything.
